I have an excel spreadsheet that, using a web query, gets data from
the web then creates hyperlinks that I can click and read in Exlorer.
The site where I get the data from requires a password. In OS 9.2 I
logged in in Explorer 5 then went to Excel '98, ran my web query then
clicked on the links my spreadsheet created and opened the link in
Explorer. I'd go back and forth between the 2 aplications. This worked
very well.
I have upgraded to office X and I'm having problems. If I login to the
password required site in Explorer, then run the web query in Excel X
I get "not logged in" . If I create a web query to login through Excel
X, when I go to read the data in Explorer (through hyperlink) I get
"not logged in".
It appears to me that the cookie the password required site is writing
is specific to each application (Excel and Explorer). If anyone has
any idea how I can fix this, I would appreciate your feedback. As I
said this was never a problem in Excel '98 on OS 9.2.
Thanks in advance
