Web Query in Excel for Mac

P

With Excel in PC, it is very easy to create web querries by pasting a
URL and selecting different tables with the check boxes. Does anyone
know how to do this in Mac? Also the PC allows for different options
for data format, most importantly for my purpose is the disable date
recognition.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I am still using a 5
year old pc while my new mac sits on the table.

thanks

Sorry Pete -

The web query feature is one that is implemented differently on the PC. The
Mac version of XL doesn't offer those features :(

Pete,

With virtual PC, you are actually running a PC. So with Virtual PC and a
copy of Windows Office you are actually running that Windows program. So
with only a few exceptions, anything that can be done on the PC with the
Windows program will be done on the Macintosh, but slower.
