web site tracking

I am using pub 2003 and I am trying to get some tracking information on my
website. I found that Google had something called Google analytics. But I am
not sure how to go about adding the code to my index. Copy the following code
block into every webpage you want to track immediately before the </body> tag.

We are getting ready to start our radio spot and want to see if more people
are coming to our site because of the add. I am not apposed to using
something other than Google. So you insight is welcome. Thanks

I think Spike was saying that most web host will provide web stats of some
sort for free, and that you should look to see if those will give you the
information you seek. You can probably access them by logging on to your web
host control panel, but might have to look at the support section or the FAQ
section for directions.

There have been a number of Publisher built sites that have posted here that
have the Google analytics installed. They inserted the code via the insert
html code fragment feature in Publisher. While I don't know what results
they give, it was a noticeable drag on the loading time of the page in my
experience.
