Web stats for FP Web

Why is it that FP tells me the stats data is not available for reports even
though it says it is set when I look Configure Usage Analysis Settings in
FP?

I asked my hosting service and was told:

" The webstats are collected from a separate Webalizer engine linked to the
webserver. The FrontPage Extensions Usage Reports is unfortunately not
available on the Linux server."

I'b dubious about this explanation because my FP book says differently. I've
checked and the server is running the latest FP Server Extension.

The Usage Reports in FrontPage only seem to work on servers running
Sharepoint - this effectively means Windows 2003 and later servers with
SharePoint installed. This does NOT mean your website has to be a
sharepoint site - just that the server has SharePoint Services
installed.
