Web will not open..memory ?

I have been working in FP for a year.
All of a sudden, I am unable to access one of the sites on
the server,
from this machine.
Another site in FP is the same size and opens without a
problem.
I can also open this site from other machines in FP.
I am running MS 2000 Pro OS, FP 2000

Here is how it goes :
1. Open FP, open web, open web folders and click on site
to open
2. Enter name and password
3. FP attempts to open the web
4. Computer freezes, all apps freeze
5. Other instances have included receiving an error message
:
a. Ran out of memory while trying to allocate 0 bytes.
b. Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is
increasing the size
of your virtual memory paging file.
c. the web begins to load . . . error message : An
unexpected exception occured.
and then, again : Your system is low on virtual memory,
increase your paging file size.

I have purchased more memory, although I had 256 meg, I
installed
to 384 meg and changed Virtual Memory, this did not help,
and was not
a problem beforehand : I was able to open this web for
many months.
As I said, I can open all other webs which are the same
size.

What should the paging file sizes be ????
Below is what I have set and can open the same sized webs :

Paging file size for selected drive
Drive : C:
Space available : 31569 MB
Initial = 576
Maximum = 1040

Total paging file size for all drives
Minimum allowed : 2 MB
Recommended : 574 MB
Currently allocated : 576 MB

Registry size:
Current Registry size : 23 MB
Maximum registry size: 125 MB

I am very grateful for any help to be able to open the
site in FP.
I am growing desperate here . . .

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office
