Webpage centered

When I design a webpage on a blank page it looks centered and fine. When I
change to webpage preview everything is shifted to the left. What is the
problem? How do I resolve this problem. I am using text boxes and tables for
text.

I had a look at the site recommended by Mary, but couldn't see how it helps
to centre a page.

If I design a page that is 800px wide, how can I get Publisher to publish it
so that it would be centred on a monitor that is 1280 ormore pixels wide,
rather than left aligned. i.e. I want to do the equivalent of
<CENTER>..</CENTER>, or <Div align="center">

Thanks,
G.

I think only websites created with Publisher 2000 can be centered. It is
done by adding <center> to the html files.

If you want further info on it let me know.

Don - thanks for the reply.

I'm a newbie and using Publisher 2007 beta to see whether I want to buy it.

Are you saying its not a feature of Publisher 2003/2007?

Can I add the tags manually withing Publisher? (i'[m moderately competent at
HTML - so if there's a way of getting tags into the template that would solve
my problem).

I'm not familiar with Publisher beyond version 2000. It has been mentioned
that Publisher beyond 2000 and up and including 2003 will not accept the
<center> code.

Does 2007 create html files? If so, you could try inserting the <center>
code. The easy way to do this especially if there are more than one html
file is use "ReplaceInFiles" program.

You can get it here:
http://www.emurasoft.com/index.htm

You will need to fill four boxes; here are the entries:

</head>
</head> <center>
*.html
This forth box enter the path to where the html files are stored on your
computer by using the browse button.

The four dots below can be left unmarked.
