WebResponse will not accept Product ID

After installing OneNote 2003, I needed Microsoft Product Support to resolve
an installation issue. However, the WebResponse process will not accept the
Product ID shown in the About dialog box. It was rejected with the message
"The Product ID number you entered is not supported in the country that you
have selected."

Any idea how to deal with this? This was indeed bought in the US at a
college bookstore. The PID was carefully typed into the WebResponse field.

I had the same problem just now. I tried to run the
tutorial, even after updating Media Player, but no go. I
tried to submit a request but got rejected just as you
did. Not the most reassuring experience for a product I
had hoped to rely on....
