I did an option by option comparison of my web brower options.
The only thing I could find was that the BAD version didn't have
a microsoft VM component in its list of advanced options. Could this be
my problem?
How do I add this component?
Thanks
PS: I sent you the pictures you asked for.
:
in the browser that you state you have a display issue, be sure to clear
the
internet cache and then refresh the page view on
www.askpcwizards.com.
Then
make a screen shot of the page and send the screen shot to
(e-mail address removed) for review.
In the message state what browser and version is being used and what the
PC
screen resolution is set to.

The pc in question is not a server. The website is
www.askpcwizards.com
Again, 2 of my 3 machines display this website correctly. The pc that
fails
to
display correctly is the machine I developed the website on.
The text "computer wizards" thru the number 7569, which you see at the
top
of your screen, is displayed at the bottom of my page. If I highlight
that
section,
3 transparant blue shaded rectangular objects appear overlayed on my
text.
The first shape is shaped like the "computer wizards through text 7569"
dual
text boxes are shaped.
The other two are shaped like my other 2 pictures.
The boxes are positioned 9 or 10 text lines down from where the
pictures
should be displayed.
On the rest of the pages (example)
http://www.askpcwizards.com/index_files/Page266.htm
The pictures AND the backgrounds and font definitons, etc... are all
missing.
The two laptops access my local copy via a "shared" directory, so all
three machines are viewing the same source, whether it be on
my hard drive, or on the web at
www.askpcwizards.com!
Thank you for your time!
:
If the images are missing then the links are broken on what ever
platform
you
have the version loaded that you are viewing with the issue.
If the platform in question is a web server, post the URL for review.

:
I've repeated my problem with this simple procedure:
I'm running IE service pack 2.
In 2003 I run File->New->Easy Website builder and add a few canned
pages.
I make no modifications to these canned pages.
I publish to the web (both to a local disk or on my website).
My two laptops display the pages fine in IE
The pc with publisher installed on it diaplays only the text. No
backgrounds/no pictures
and the "header" text is displayed below the body.
I backed up and unloaded and re-loaded the IE component. No luck
Any suggestions?
Thanks
