Weekday Formula

Here's my formula:

=CHOOSE(WEEKDAY("1 Jan "
&$C$1),"Sun","Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat")

where C1 = the year 2006

B1 has the month Jan and I want to input that into my formula, so when
I change the month, it automatically will change my formula.

I tried =CHOOSE(WEEKDAY("1 $B$1 "
&$C$1),"Sun","Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat")

B1 = Jan
C1 = 2006

But this isn't working. Are there any suggestions?

Thanks,

B

=CHOOSE(WEEKDAY("1 " & B1 & " "
&$C$1),"Sun","Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat ")

Hi!

Try this:

Enter the month number in B1:

B1 = 1
C1 = 2006

=CHOOSE(WEEKDAY(DATE(C1,B1,1)),"Sun","Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat")

No need to use that formula at all, assuming that you want the weekday of
the 1st of each month and year you put in B1 and C1 you can use

=TEXT(B1&" "&C1,"ddd")

hi!

try this!

in E1:

=CHOOSE(WEEKDAY((A1&"/"&B1&"/"&C1)),"Sun"'"Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat")

where A1 having the day
B1 having the month &
C1 having the year
