Hello Dear:
I am using the working time based on 24 hour calender.
Since I am using this calender format the weekend gray
highlighs has been removed from the Gantt chart view. Is
there any way to use 24 hours calender and keep this gray
highligh for the weekends as well?
Thank you
Majid

Hello Majid:
The gray highlights in the Gantt chart represent
nonworking time from the project calendar. With a 24-
hour project calendar you do not have any nonworking
time, so no grey highlights.
A work around would be to create a new calendar using the
Tools --> Change Working time command.
In the new calendar make all Saturdays and Sundays
nonworking.
After creating the calendar, you need to set that
calendar as the nonworking time display in the Gantt
chart.
Format --> Timescale, click on the Non-working time tab
and select the newly created calendar from the Calendar
drop-down.
I hope this helps.

Thank you Julie:
I did test it on one dummy file it did work. However,
when i try it on my file that has the micro bulid in it
does not work. Is this because of the micro I may ask?

Hi Majid,
I can't say for sure as I don't know what the macro is
doing to the file. Can you contact the person who wrote
the macro and see what the macro does?
As I mentioned, this is only a format of the Gantt chart,
so if somehow the macro is manipulating the Gantt chart
format, it is entirely possible that you keep loosing the
non-working time from the new calendar.

Hi Julie
I wrote the micro myself. It does sum the value for the
comstomized column. I do not bieleve that the micro is
causing the problem. I may have to try to convert all the
tasks to the new file that accepts the new setting as per
your advise.

Majid
