Is it possible to highlight weekends in the timesheets to make data-entry a
little easier?

Unfortunately no.. there is no date based formatting in the timesheets

Hi Karen,

Reduce the time span of the timesheet to one week or less (the default is
two weeks). This way the timescale of the timesheet view.will show the day
of the week.
