weekly top 50 titles _newbie,please help!!!

Dana

Hi.

I am tracking the usage rankings of a number of links for
a web page over the course of a week.

Each day has it's on sheet.
Each row is a different title, in order from most requests
to least requests.

The columns are: Number, Title, Requests.

How would I sum up top 50 titles over the course of a week?

thanks
Dana

Sounds like a job for the autofilter, create the filter
(data>filter>autofilter),
filter on the requests, select top 10 and change that number to top 50

thank you for responding. I haven't used the auto filter
before. It sounds like a good direction. However I think I
need to take it a step further if I am understanding
correctly.

If the the data is already ranked in numerical order on
each sheet, how would I get the auto filter to work
accross sheets? I want to sum up the total requests per
title for the week.

Can excel match and sum up titles (like the way you can
find what is different - can it find the same, and then
total it?)

It would be better if you had all data in one sheet and then used the
filter.
There are other ways, I would recommend a download of Laurent Longre's
Morefunc,
the THREED function will create an single array from multiple sheets then
you could use
index and large to get the top 50. large works over multiple sheets but
index does not
which means that you can get the top 50 values but not the titles.
Still I would recommend a summary sheet and the use of a filter..

ok here is what I am trying so far...it's not working
because I apparently have a circular reference...while I
am figuring that out, if you have any thoughts on whether
this will work, i would love to hear. you've been a real
help so far.

um, this time with the formula I am exploring

=THREED(sunday:Monday:Tuesday:wednesday:thursday!A1:C42)
