Weird characters in my message when replies come in

I'm on Outlook 2007 using Arial as my default font to send messages in rich
text. When replies come in, the apostrophe character gets changed to a weird
box. What is causing that? In this case, the reply came from a Yahoo
recipient in case that matters. Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't use rich text (RTF), as it is only supported by Outlook.
Use HTML and see if the problem persists.

Also, what encoding do you use in your original outgoing message?

That's interesting. I've been using Rich Text in Outlook for years, but this
problem just showed up recently after upgrading to 2007. I'll try your
solution.
