Weird %complete on Milestones!?!

Hi there,

We're using a projectserver solution with SP2 and managed periods. One
of the projects has resources assigned to milestones. Some even with
some Baseline work. I advized to remove them immediately and only
assign resources to tasks. In this project the milestones have weird %
complete, like 28% or 64% in any case not the binary 0% or 100% like I
would expect for a milestone.

Could anyone explain to me what caused this strange behaviour in the
first place and how we could make the milestones behave properly? (i.e.
not have them jumping around on the % complete)

The strange behavior is the result of adding work and actual work to the
milestone tasks. I suspect that someone converted tasks that had already
started tracking into milestones. This is not a good idea.

there was no actual work nor actual work protected on these milestones

(makes it even more weird doesn't it ...)
