Weird image in background

I have a user who somehow managed to create some sort of watermark in a
document but it looks like a numbered list where #1 is simply a row of
hyphens. In the doc - it is grey. It is NOT in the footer, I can't seem to
find handles to move it forward as an object, I can't figure out any other
weird ways she could have embedded this. Its not linked to anything I can
tell by. But her secretary is going nuts because she wants it gone!

Any ideas? I didn't attach the doc, but I can if you want to see it.
Thanx,
-Monica

Are you sure it's not in the header/footer (keeping in mind that a graphic
anchored to the header/footer paragraph can be anywhere on the page)? Or
perhaps it's a border? See

That was not it. But Thanks. When in Page Layout view, the image looks like
it is in the Header/Foter. But when I go to Header/footer, it is still grey,
as if it is within the body of the document. I think it may be linked in
some bizarre way to Footer #1, but I can't figure out how??
