Weird issue with fonts

B

BCS

In Excel 2000, on a Windows 2000 PC, I've created a workbook with various
business day information on it. I am using the "Arial" font throughout, but
vary the size and font style depending on the information being displayed.

After saving and closing my workbook, I reopen the workbook again on the
same PC and certain cells appear to display their contents at double the
font size I've set. What's really wierd is when I click on the problem cell,
the font size setting is exactly how I set it. If I type over the
information, it still remains twice the size. The only way it reduces size
is if I select the next font size down from what I want.

Now, here's the real mind bender: if I close the workbook without making any
changes and reopen it again, everything is back to normal. I have not been
successful in finding any KB articles on MS's website on this issue and was
hoping someone in this newsgroup has encountered a similar problem and can
offer a solution.

Thanks,

Barry

Sounds like it may be a display issue rather than an app issue?

Check to see if there is an updated video driver available for your setup.
