Weird Outlook 2K Outbox issue

I am running MSExch (5.5 on NT) with Outlook 2K. One of my users (90 total)
is acting bizarre. When he sends an email, (small, no attachment) it stays in
his Outbox. I am not using remote access or any offline services. If you
click on Outbox, the mail goes. If he receives a mail with one in the Outbox,
the Outbox mail goes. If you send another email with one in the Outbox, the
orig goes, and the new one sits there...

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

My system fails the first part of the test. Unfortunately, the article doesnt
offer any advice for that...
Its a stumper...
