Hello -
I am having repeated problems trying to make permanent changes to two
Preferences criteria in Word 2004: under 'View' I want 'Horizontal
scroll bar' to be off (ie, unchecked), and under 'General' I want
'Background Pagination' to be off (ie, unchecked). I have repeated
opened the Normal template (under Users>[my user
name]>Documents>Microsoft User Data>Normal and made the selected the
desired preferences. My choices seem to stay in effect for a week or
two, and then bingo I discover that documents (both old and new) are
defaulting to Horizontal Scroll bar ON and Background Pagination ON.
All of my other preferences seem to be behaving normally, it's just
these two which insist on switching around on me.
Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong, or is this a bug?
Thanks,
Zack
