There have been a few threads lately about running file formats of an
older version in a newer version of Access so I thought I would add this
gem that I ran across today.
App developed in A97 then converted with A2K to the A2K file format, then
that file distributed to users that might use anything from A2K to A2K7.
A report in this file ends up with the following property settings:
Border Type = Dialog
Min Max Allowed = Min Only
Close Button = No
These properties do not even exist in A97 or A2K (For Reports), yet a
report in the file when opened with 2002 or newer is somehow picking up
these property values.
The result of course is once this report is opened it cannot be closed.
No other report in the file (thus far as I haven't tried them all) has
this behavior.
