I've never encountered this before and I hope someone out there can help. I
open my 2000 db with an icon since I have security on it and use a workgroup
file. When I open it using the shift key I am able to run a mail merge to
Word that it doesn't allow me to do if I don't use the shift key when I open
the database. I get a message telling me that I don't have any right to use
the database if I try to run the mail merge, yet I'm the owner of the
database and have all administrative rights. Again, this message doesn't
appear when I use the shift key to open the database and the mail merge
proceeds without incident. I really need some help with this because a lot
of users with icons need to use this thing.
