Weird stuff going on

We are a beginning Access class. I have a situation I
have never encountered before.

I have two students today who are learning Access. They
have an established file they are using for queries etx.
Every once in a while, it creats a backup filed of the
file they are in, naming it "Name-Backup". It closes them
out of the original file "Name" and won't let them do
anything to the backup file.

I am not present when this happens, and not sure what
keys they presses or why it is doing this.

Has this happened to anyone else?
