I'm using Albert Kallal's method for fully automatically
creating a mailmerge with a list of companies from a
listbox in Access. This is done by creating a delimited
text file with the letter contents which is then used as
Word's datasource. This works fine.
However when I select just a single company name for the
merge and the company name contains special letters (I'm
in Denmark) Wword writes out the special letters as
chinese/asian symbols!! The special letters are æ ø å (but
you may not be able to read them).
I have no clue why this is happening let alone why it only
happens when I pass the name of just one company.
This is weird I know, but does anyone have any idea as to
what I could try? Is there a characterset to be controlled
somewhere when opening word?
Thanks for any input.
