Welcome Page always shows 'new' status

One of our users continues to have the 'new update' icon displayed on the
Welcome page (a Groove add-in provided by Microsoft) even after the changes
have been viewed and the workspace exited. Does anyone have experience with
this problem and/or suggestions on correcting it?

Hi Bryan -

Yes, its a common problem with this tool. The solution is to turn off
notifications for that tool.

1: Chooose File | Properties | Tool from the main menu.
2: Click the Alerts tab, and set the vertical Uread Alert level to the
bottom.

THis gets rid of it, but has the side effect of not showing any legitimate
changes.
