Well it was a hyperlink in excel - I sware.

I have imported an excel spread sheet into access.
they hyper links work fine in excel but do not work once I import them into
access.
please help.

after posting this I continued my reading and found that
if I save the excel sheet to html and then import it - the hyper links work
