Hi, I must have inadvertently changed a setting in MSWord because when I open
Word, I receive an error message that advises me

MSOffice\Office\Startup\WFWRD2K2.DOT contains macros

what do I do to get rid of this error message and open Word "normally"?
Thanks, Bob

This is the add-in for Winfax - to eliminate the message either remove the
add-in (which often causes problems in some Word versions) or set Word's
macro security to trust installed templates and add-ins.

Thanks Graham, I went to Options -> A Templates / Add-Ins and WFWRD2K2.DOT
was chercked so I unchecked it but when I closed word and reopened word, the
error message still appeared and the macro was still checked. BTW, REMOVE
was NOT available so I located the WFWRD2K2.DOT Add-In in the Office
Directory and deleted it and closed Word. When I opend Word, the macro
message was still there and WFWRD2K2.DOT was still checked. This macro seems
to have a mind of its' own, how do I permantely DELETE or get rid of it?
Thanks again for your help

When you uncheck a template or add-in in Tools | Templates and Add-ins, it
is unloaded just for the current session. It will continue to load every
time you start Word as long as it is in Word's (or the Office) Startup
folder. Setting Word (Tools | Macro | Security: Trusted Sources) to trust
all installed templates and add-ins will suppress the message for add-ins in
the Word Startup folder. Unfortunately, that trust doesn't extend to the
Office Startup folder, and your experience suggests that there is a copy of
the template there as well. As Graham has told you, however, you can still
use WinFax without the add-in.
