What are parameter vales in Outlook 2003

For about 2 months now, I have been unable to add new contacts or add new
appointments in Outlook 2003. When I click "Save" I get an error message
saying "Cannot complete operation. One or more parameter values no valid".
I read some previous postings that talked about filters, however all of my
filters are off. Please help. I have to add everything to my Blackberry-
then synch. This is quite tedious. Thanks
