What are the SRS Files in Outlook

What do the SRS files contain?

I have a couple workstations that are losing their configurations and I have
to recreate their profiles.

I noticed that these machines have an incrementing SRS file in
username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. These people have
Outlook~(1-8).srs in this folder.

The main symptom with the user is that they lose the send button for new
mail and replies. Yes, the send button is missing and replaced with a
"half-visible" button that I think says accounts. The send button will
dissappear at any time. I have sent a few emails, replied to some and then
all of a sudden the next email has no send button with no other activity in
the meantime.

Any help would be appreciated.

Opening Outlook with the /cleanviews switch will often reset alot of things,
you can give this a try, check this site for a list of the switches (they're
very helpful):

SRS file is the Outlook send and receive group settings file for Outlook
2002 and later.

Any Idea why the file is incrementing? Should their only be one?
