What can I do to stop Excel 2002 from crashing when using the save as command
and trying to save in a different directory from the defaut directory?

Microsoft excel 2002 (10.6501.6714) SP3 frequently crashes when using the
save as command, when attempting to change directory. This happens when an
excel file is part of an email received in Microsoft Outlook ( another
component of Microsoft Office XP). [ running on an X86 PC, X86 Family 86 6
stepping Intel processor 467Mhz, SMBIOS 2.2, physical memory 320MB, avilaable
physical memory 85.3MB, Virtual memory 2.0GB, Avialable virtual memory 1.96GB
