What can work in an email?

What can work in an email? Obviously text only works. HTML also seems to be
able to be used in an email. Can javascript be run? What about flash
movies? I am looking for any limitations or abilities that you can tell me
for standard email.

P. S. I know that most everything may be disabled in Outlook. I am only
concerned with what CAN work assuming that the sender is a safe sender or the
recipient allows the software to run.

No script. Flash is a sure way to get your message deleted by a lot of people.

I'm not worried about it it will get deleted by a person or not. I'm just
wondering what all works in an email and can be displayed in Outlook

It probably depends on the user's Outlook version and IE security settings. In most cases, it probably won't work (or will be detected as spam, which means it definitely won't work in Outlook 2003 SP2).

Nothing works in all email. Some people deliberately configure Outlook to
receive all messages as plain text.
