Usually it's incorrect permissions settings, but it can also be cased by
plan corruption.

I just want to add a little tit-bit from my side as well - I have
noticed these are sometimes caused by timeouts being experienced due to
server performance issues - but only in very extreme cases.

Is this happening with our without service pack 2. I don't have service pack
2 yet. It has been removed from MS web site due to custom outline code
problem. I'm having 0x80004005 error.

Thanks,
Cynthia

Cynthia,

The error in itself doesn't always mean anything - one typically needs
to look at other sources as well - such as possible errors in the
eventlog.
