What causes my typing to make all capitals, and can't move cursor?

Word 2003 starts making capitals and also highlights blocks as I move around.
After a long rest, it behaves normally. What can I do about this?

It probably happens in other programs (say Notepad) too?
Do you have another keyboard you could attach? It sounds as if the Shift key
gets stuck.
Maybe it could also be a Windows accessibility setting that causes Shift to
become sticky... say if you keep pressing it too long?
(Windows Start button > Control Panel > Accessibility > Keyboard)

I'm having a similar problem. I printed a document in Word 2003 that had
screen prints and paragraphs. After the print dialog closed, I noticed that
my paragraphs had shrunk to " blobs" that look like all the letters in the
sentences had slid left so they were all displaying on top of each other at
the far left margin.

My header contents did the same thing. Also, the document printed with it
looking this way! I can't fix it!

FYI, when I type in Mozilla Firefox or Notepad, I'm fine,... as you can see.
But when I type in Word, e

Hi Lisa,

In your case, a bad printer driver is probably the culprit. Try to get
another (newer) one for your printer.

If you can't find one, post back with info on the printer you have.
And check if the problem in Word goes away if you choose another printer
driver (... you don't actually have to have another printer: you still can
use the printer driver for any printer).
