what detirmines whether enterprise files shows up in Proj2007?

Ok I am in trouble :)
I *know* I should have taken a backup of the ent.global before I
started fiddling - but I didnt :(
(Hey this is a pilot server).

I can now open Ent.global with no problems or errors at all *but*
under th Tools-Custimise menu items 'Enterprise Fields' does not
exist. I hae tried this on two different machines as two different
users.

So it seems that tough allow proj2007 is happily opening Ent.global -
whetever 'trigger's it to show those enterprise options isnt
happening??????This is all a bit vague. Is there something in Ent/
global that I could have 'lost' that would cause the client prog not
to regard it as 'enterprise'.........

.....as another issue - I cant see the custom enterprise field 'Project
Type' in the Custom enterprise fields when I go in as admin through
server settings in PWA.........but it *does* exist in project
properties of the projects themselves......anyt thoughts?

Can I rebuild/replace Ent.global with a blank/default version?
I dont mind rebuilding the project metadata (its a pilot) but I dont
want to use the project workspaces.

Ideas?

The custom enterprise fields are no longer in the Enterprise Global file, so
you didn't do anything wrong. Instead, they are in PWA, accessed from the
Server Settings page. Hope this helps.
