Where do I change the settings to eliminate leaving a copy of e-mails on my
server?
server?

leaving e-mail messages on my server, for example!
Mechelle said:I installed Outlook 2003 last month and immediately updated it via
microsoft update. I checked the box "leave copy of messages on
server". I've tried to "uncheck" it, but it only will do so
temporarily. Every time I exit and go back into Outllook, I find the
setting checked. I had already installed SP2 and tried to install it
again, but it said that it was already installed. Is some file
missing or something?
Mechelle said:I created a new send/receive group which has exactly the same
properties as the original. I unchecked "leave copy of messages on
server". I saved it. I closed Outlook. When I opened outlook, the
checkmark reappeared. The behavior is exactly the same. Any other
suggestions?
Mechelle said:Thank you Brian. I created a new profile. Now what is even more
interesting is that this one will not permanently save the checkmark
in "Leave a copy of mesages on serve"! Just the opposite of the
other profile. Both profiles are operational. Any further
suggestions?
Brian Tillman said:I'm afraid I'm stumped. I've never seen that behavior. I am truly sorry.
Perhaps someone else will recognize the symptoms.

Select the email account you want to change and click Change. Click the More
Settings button and go to the last tab.
Note: This is for Outlook 2003. If you need instructions for other versions
of Outlook, post back.
