What do I do for email receive error 0x80042108?

I have Windows XP firewall, 3 separate ISP's. When doing email, for one I
always get this receive error for email in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
(works fine in Outlook Express). I read about uninstalling the update
KB921594 (since I have gotten all updates for me to get as they come, I
assume I got this one too) and wonder if that is what I will have to do. All
other reading connects this error to the Norton security stuff but I use the
Windows XP. I do use AVG (grisoft) antivirus. I want to do all my email in
the Microsoft Office Outlook.

It connects to ALL Anti Virus suites that have the email integration set.
Disable your incoming and outgoing email scanning feature of your Anti Virus (AVG)

How do I do that (disable the incoming and outgoing email scanning feature)?
Does that mean that there will then be no antivirus protection on my email?

I found and did that but it did not solve the problem. Note, the problem
only happens with ONE ISP and THEY say it's not their problem. I'm ready to
ditch them as I feel it IS their problem and will need fixin on their end.
What do you think?
