What do I do when appointments in Outlook 2003 don't open anymore.

I am new to Outlook 2003. I can delete appointments but not open them. I can
change them in the calendar though. I reinstalled the program and still it
does not work. Did I turn something off?

Be more specific. Why can't you open them? What error message do you get?
How are you trying to open them?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, open appointments in outlook asked:
