what do I do with this bar at the bottom that says page one sec

ms word what is this bar at the bottom that sys page one sec one 1/1
some times says 1/2 or 3 or 4 and so on when I didn't ask it to
then when I print I get blank pages
How can I change the amount of pages
using xp

That is the status bar, which tells you how many pages the document contains
and what page you're on. If you're getting blank pages, perhaps your
document consists of text boxes and you don't have "Drawing objects" checked
on the Print tab of Tools | Options?
