What do you use for Customized Reports, In Search of the Holy Grai

To anyone in search of the Holy Reporting Grail,
Maybe you can share your answer to this puzzle.

We are in the process of implementing EPM across 100 PMs and have determined
that the 25+ reports available from MS Project & PWA do not meet our needs.

Our needs are simple (if all of the data were available in a relational data
store). For:
- All Projects by period, we need project attribute information (i.e.
Portfolio_id, Billing_Code, Capital_Ref all in Outline fields)
- Task_Name
- Resource
- Actual_Hours_Protected

Maybe you can share your answer to this puzzle, please.

SQL reporting services is a great tool, many folks use Crystal reports.

Gary,

Thank you for the quick response. Our initial take on the SRS alternative
is that it is a fairly heavy skill-set investment.

Please confirm. If we understand the SRS skill set correctly, the skills
required to design/support a SRS solution would be:
1. Knowledge of the EPM tables Data Model
2. SQL
3. .Net to package the results in SRS format
4. SRS
