what does infopath do?

I need a program that will insert each of my companies job/project contact
info onto 7 different forms. So my employees don't have to type the same
contact info onto each form, they can just type it in one place and it will
automatically insert the info on to each form I need. Will infopath do this?

You can use the Database or sharepoint Lists and Populate the data into the
Forms.
By The way are you using different forms entirely or using different Views?

Yes they are different softwares. You can use the Access or SQL as Database.
Sharepoint is WSS 3.0 or SPS 2003 or MOSS 2007.
