Hi,

What edition is this 90180409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9 (Std 2003 or Prof
2003) and how is this discovered?

I read that the first eight numerals may be helpful but unfortunately
nothing on the edition front.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm afraid you will most likely not find this information in the group for
Office:Mac, which is where you've posted. Office 2003 is a Windows version &
uses a completely different Activation/Registration/Identification coding
system. The Win Office groups can be accessed from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/FlyoutOverview.mspx

However, unless you have other reasons to do so, you're doing this the hard
way :) Launch one of the apps then go to Help> About... Where the Edition
will be clearly identified in the first few lines. Additionally, you can
just look to see if the Office installation includes Access & Publisher - If
so it's Professional, if not it's Standard [unless those programs were
purchased separately, which is rare].

BTW - Just in case this is behind your query, there is no difference between
the primary applications included in the 2 Editions - Word, Excel,
PowerPoint in each are identical. It's just the matter of what is included
that distinguishes one Edition from the other.

Good Luck |:>)
