Its just difficult to truly understand which features need to be kept
on and which ones need to be turned off to allow minimal web access to
project data.

The title of the section is misleading "Select the features that you
want to make available to users in Project Web Access" -- it sounds
like it only has to do with Project Web Access features whereas if you
turn off the "Connect to Project Server using MS Project 2002", that is
a no no. I keep wondering what other features that could impact the
client app as well as the web access.

So what is your question specifically? Without knowing what you mean by
"minimal PWA capability", we have no way of answering your post. Let us
