what files did I download? Need to reinstall

I'm am reformatting my laptop, and purchased a version of Office online.
(Keyfinder says its Ultimate....didn't know that). I have the product key.
I will need to reinstall Office after my recovery, so I need to know which
files to save on a disk, so I can then reinstall. I found the office folder
in the Program Files folder.....do Ijust save that whole thing as a backup?
I don't have any CDs....I purchased online.

I can copy anything over to my Desktop via wireless network...I just need to
know exactly what to copy so I can rebuild my system once it's wiped clean.

Alternatively, could I just download it again? Like I've said, I have a
Product key that was legally purchased and is genuine. BTW, I don't have it
installed on my desktop, so I'm hoping this process will help me figure out
how to do that as well. Lots of questions..... thanks

You save the file that you downloaded when you purchased Office on line. That is the
file you need to re-install Office. Also you might want to save your data and pst
files if there is something important in there that you would need later

Peter,

Thanks for responding! Any idea what that file will be called or where it
is default saved? Or even what type of file it is? Maybe .exe?

There is so many of these MS Office files, I can't tell which one was the
original download. I've saved all the documents, and anything else I might
find useful, but I don't need to copy all the program files over do I?

I'm sure there is something I am missing.....

So I researched the heck out of this, and I figured out that the downloaded
file was x12-30307.exe

Yours is probably something similar......in case you have a problem like
mine. I'm going to copy that over to my desktop, and save a text file with
the product key in it, and then try to reinstall when I wipe my laptop fresh.

I'm also not sure about the amout of computers I'm licesnsed for with this
software (Ultimate Steal) so after I install it back on laptop, I will
attempt to install on desktop as well. That would be sweet!!

There you go. Let us know how you made out. If I might make a suggestion. Why don't
you put that file on a CD and write your product key on it along with the title of
the file and what it is for. This way you will have it again handy without any
worries
