In xl97, the button "Autosum" is marked by the letter sigma S
and it gives the SUM worksheet function
For example:
Suppose you have 2 numbers,
one each in A6 and A7
If you select the immediate cell below, i.e. A8,
and click AutoSum
this will put in A8: =SUM(A6:A7)
Excel will "auto-sense" that the cells A6:A7
are to be summed
And likewise, for numbers entered in row-wise,
for example:
If numbers are in A6 and B6,
with Autosum clicked in cell C6
