What happened to automatic hyphenation in Word 2007?

I keep getting the message in my document that hyphenation is not installed.
I have installed/reinstalled Word a few million times now and turned on all
features with no result. I cannot even find hyphenation in any menu in 2007.
About ready to go back to 2003.

Hyphenation is part of the Proofing Tools and is not necessarily installed
by default. Unless you definitely installed hyphenation first time around,
Reinstalling/Repairing is wasting time as Office will only repair or
reinstall what was already installed.

Run Office Setup, select CHANGE, Add or Remove Features and then look for
Proofing Tools (shared items). Make sure that they are all set to be
Installed on This Computer. OK and then setup will install the missing
features.
