Does anyone know what happened to the magic lasoo crop function that old office used to have. I quite liked it and I fear that it has been scrapped.
Any ideas? Thanks

Well, technically *it* hasn't been scrapped, but the capabilities that
enabled its existence *have* been. Office 2008 doesn't include a bitmap
editor - supposedly in compliance with Apple guidelines. I don't claim to
know the details, but you may hear more from others who do:)

Getting Microsoft to restore lasso and the other functions at the bottom
of the Picture toolbar is also important ot me. I've let Microsoft know
that these tools are useful and should be restored.

You should do the same by sending feedback to Microsoft using the Send
Feedback feature on PowerPoint's help menu.

We got VBA restored for the next version of office. Maybe we can get
this feature and TWAIN support (the ability to scan) restored, too.

The features that were cut in 2008 are numerous.
