What happened to the free Microsoft Office Manager in the Office .

This used to be available as recently as Office '97. It provided a floating
bar where many applications could be placed in icon form to provide a quick
launch capability. It seems to have disappeared and I miss it.

It is still available in Office2000 and Office2002 AFAIK.

In my Office2002, I can Access it through Start / Programs / Microsoft
Office Tools...

You can configure this to start automatically when Windows is opened.
