What happened to the "Open new office document" button?

I recently upgraded from XP Pro to Office 2003 Pro and the "Open New Office
Program" shortcut on the start menu disapeared. We have 3 versions of Office
2003 in the business and one has the button, two do not.
It is a very useful short cut - how do I get it back?

Ignore my last post.
Using the new Office 2003 Upgrade Disk and following the instructions on the
MS Web site I got to the point:
"5. Click the Arrow next to New and Open Office Document Shortcuts."
This field has a red "CROSS" and "Not Available" shows.

How do I get this feature? Can I use a disk from one of our other versions
of Office 2003 that has the feature?

Next to the Red X you should see a down arrow head. Click on the arrow head
and you should get other selections including the Run on My Computer
selection you desire.

"Not Available" just means that the feature is not included {available} in
the Office components you have installed on your computer.

Don,

Very many thanks - the start menue is now as I like it!
It might interest you to know that when I installed the upgrade my copy of
MS Autoroute was "uninstalled" and I had to re-install it. ODD!
