I opened up a new worksheet in a workbook and the data I entered in the new
worksheet also ended up on a bucn of others (but not all) of the worksheets
in the workbook! I tried to clear the data on the new worksheet, to see if
it would also clear on the other worksheets, but it did not.

Do you have more than one tab selected? If you select multiple tabs, then
you are editing multiple tabs.
