What happens to Word files when Test Drive expires?

I purchased a new iMac that had Office:Mac 2004 Test Drive already
installed. I've been using it and saving files in Word. My 30-day
trial is up in four days. I decided I liked it and ordered the full
version but it will probably not arrive until next week. Will the demo
version simply stop responding when the 30 days is up? What will
happen to the Word files I've already created in Test Drive? Is there
any way to extend the trial period, if I can verify I've ordered the
full version? Couldn't find anything about this.

Hi
- It will keep on working but its not suggested to use it
- You can user Remove Office tool to remove your test drive once you get
your original software ( mind you to keep the option " do not delete the
files created by me" checked). In other words by default if you remove
office using this tool the files created by you remains intact.

All the documents you created will remain.

Your template and other customisations will also remain if you check the
option Narendra told you about.

Word will degrade so that you cannot save new documents -- it goes into
"Read-Only" mode.

Far be it from me to suggest this, but if you were to but the date on your
system calendar back a month....

Cheers
