What have I done?

Hello.

I typed a letter in Word 03 - I am not sure if I saved it wrong or what.
When I go to open it, i get the pop up box that asks me for the File
conversion. I have tried going through this list but can not find one tat
works. The problem is that my letter is just a ton of symbols now - squares,
y's with dots on top and a bunch of other stuff. Any ideas on how to fix
this? This is a super important letter.

Try the Open and Repair option - but it sounds as though it is corrupt. Did
you try saving it to a floppy or removable drive rather than the local hard
disk?

Thank you - we got it figured out. It was composed in Excel but opening in
Word.
