What idiot thought French spelling / grammar should be REQUIRED?

For several months, now, my Office Update ahs been telling me that a required
update is needed. The update is French Grammar and spell check. In Texas,
we don't speak much French, let alone write it. Why is this REQUIRED?

Because French and Spanish spell checking is included in all NA English
versions of Office and has a flaw that can be exploited, whether you use it
or not.
